Red Toes Day

Chiropody appointments aren’t usually a laughing matter. This year though, local business Bartholomew Way Clinic (BWC) will help you feel the Comic Relief from Nose to Toes. Make your chiropody appointment on March 13th and BWC will donate 10% of your payment to Comic Relief. As well as smooth and sprightly feet, you will also get bright red toenails to match your bright red Comic Relief nose! Join in the fun, and call 01403 276 272 to book your appointment today. ”

Karting at Surbiton Raceway

We had a great couple of hours at Surbiton raceway yesterday.

An outdoor kart track with 200cc Biz karts, of varying restriction. The track was a little greasy in places, with just one shallow puddled area, but a very entertaining bit of tarmac.

On exiting the pits you climb to a the highest part of the track over the slightly bumpy crest of turn one, flat out down to turn two and with a little brake dab or just a lift to shift weight and through the esses. A very exciting right, left, right managed with careful rwd throttle control….Then come right to squeeze past the tyre chicane and drift left, before a carefully judged turn into the start finish right left complex. Then a light back end, and careful positioning as you turn past the pit exit right into the climb to turn one, avoiding the moist track on the inside, and keeping a close eye on the huge banking on the left and muddy indistinct bit of tarmac on the exit.
